In Taken, Liam Neeson plays the role of a former government operative who has to come out of retirement and to use on his extensive training to rescue his estranged daughter from a slave trade operation.

Taken is an upcoming thriller / action film produced and written by French director Luc Besson who once brought us the Fifth Element. The movie is directed Pierre Morel and is starring Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace. Taken is slated for a September release in the USA.

No wonder Taken looks like such a good action movie if Luc Besson wrote the script. One thing though: the girl who is kidnapped 17 years old, so why do they make her so starry eyed? Come on, at 17, girls are much more independent nowadays. They are not anymore daddy's girls at this age!
